Tail light, brake light or signal failure
Rear taillight & brake light - intermittent operation of rear LED marker and brake light on driver side. Vehicle has < 30,000 miles. Gm selling dealer aware of issue with no action taken.
The LED brake lights fail due to a manufacturing issue. In less than 3 years and 40,000 miles the vehicle has gone through 3 LED brake light assemblies. There is no warning when they fail.
Other lighting problem
The first complaint is about the taii lights. One of the running lights does not illuminate. I figured it would be a lamp. Nope. $500-$800 to replace the entire assembly! Apparently it is so common there are several people online that have businesses repairing them.
Rear passenger taillight is out. It appears to be a common issue but dealership and gm customer care will not stand behind their product. Typical response "vehicle is out of warranty now". Now I have to pay $600+ on a part plus labor. .
Other brake problem
Wife and three kids in vehicle, stops on hill seems to have shifted into neutral. Goes backwards down hill flips over lands on roof. No injuries thank god! Vehicle had been back for transmission recall twice, the last time they said they had to wait for parts... Mind you the vehicle is brand new. Someone needs to get these off the road now!
While driving at slow speed in school parking lot brake pedal failed to stop vehicle when using normal brake pressure. Pedestrian in front of vehicle jumped out of the way to avoid being struck.
